Short answers about how Fotly works.

Does the photo leave this device?

No. It’s compressed in this tab and never sent to Fotly.

What’s different on a phone?

A computer downloads a zip. On a phone, tap Share.

Why isn’t a photo compressed sometimes?

If a photo is already small enough, we leave it as is — only a smaller JPG is saved.

Will this help with WhatsApp?

Yes. A smaller JPG is easier to send. Use Medium for chats, or Maximum if WhatsApp still refuses the file.

Can I convert HEIC from iPhone?

Yes. Choose the HEIC here; Fotly turns it into a JPG in the browser. Nothing is uploaded.

What do Light, Medium and Maximum mean?

Light keeps more quality. Medium is the usual choice for sending. Maximum makes the smallest file.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up. Open the site, choose photos, download or share.
